29th January, 2010 - The Glycemic Research Institute in Washington, DC announced in January that it has selected ORIJEN from Champion Petfoods, for the second suceesive year, as the 'Pet Food of the Year for 2010-2011'.
The Pet Food of the Year is a global award presented by the Glycemic Research Institute®, for the Best Overall Healthiest Pet Food. This year, ORIJEN was selected against all other pet foods on the market. ORIJEN pet food is manufactured and owned by Champion Petfoods Ltd in Alberta, Canada (ChampionPetFoods.com).
The strict Award criteria involves in-depth analysis of the product and its suitability, based on ingredients, glycemic-response, diabetic-response, anti-aging factors, and biochemical requirements of the species.
